Since our last publication, House of caring Sierra Leone (HOCSL) has been engaged in many exciting activities aimed at strengthening the organization. One of the major initiatives is the ongoing work on the Transition Plan that was in our last newsletter. The Transition Committee is focused on developing a suitable plan to support HOCSL boys when they leave the home at the age of eighteen and re-enter the wider community to fend for themselves. We received input from our alumni and were guided by the policies set by the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs.
